On the fateful day of 30 December 2011, a devastating cyclone hit the coast off Puducherry and Cuddalore near Tamil Nadu in South India, leaving hundreds of thousands without food, shelter and electricity.

Paramahamsa Nithyananda rushed to the cyclone-hit areas to provide the victims with every possible life support needed at this hour.

Close to 2000 ashramites and volunteers and devotees of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam from around the world are working tirelessly around the clock to provide fresh food packets, drinking water and warm clothing to the affected people. Doctors and paramedics among the devotees are providing emergency medical services and medicines. Paramahamsa Nithyananda is personally supervising the entire relief operation, as well as healing and blessing the victims.

As a first step, facilities worth Rs.25,00,000 (25 lakhs) are being provided. The relief efforts are expected to reach out to at least 100,000 people per day.

Speaking from the spot, Paramahamsa Nithyananda observed that the cyclone is Mother Nature’s reaction to the alarming increase in the collective negativity in human consciousness. Paramahamsa Nithyananda is on a personal mission to meditate and heal Nature, and restore the natural balance in the ecosystem.
