10 Benefits of Nithya Yoga
The practice of Nithya Yoga is a daily component of the Inner Awakening program. Attendance to the early morning session each day throughout the 21 day process is highly encouraged. Why? Because Nithya Yoga is the system created directly by Paramahamsa Nithyananda that prepares the body for Jeevan Mukti, Living Enlightenment itself. It prepares the body to not only experience but also sustain and most importantly express and radiate living enlightenment.
Here are the top 10 reasons why the practice of Nithya Yoga is essential throughout the Inner Awakening;
The Nithya Yoga practice removes tamas (lethargy and sluggishness) from the system through the dynamic practices like patanjali dhyaan and dynamic vinyasa sequences.
The Nithya Yoga practice effectively calms rajas (restlessness in the body/mind) by addressing the mind through the breath (pranayama techniques) and directly working on the mind and emotions through the Nithya Dhyaan meditation.
The entire 1.5 hour class works on, awakens and energizes all of the systems energy channels (nadis) and energy centers (chakras) providing a feeling of vitality and boundless energy for the day ahead.
The asana practice works deeply on the body and the physical muscles. The combination of pranayama (breath control techniques) synchronized with the movements, along with intention and visualization works at sculpting the regular muscles into spiritual muscles.
During the 21 days, the Master takes each individual though space of being ‘un-clutched’. The Nithya Yoga practice helps them to remain in that space of being ‘un-clutched’.
Nithya Yoga cleanses the bio memory, so whatever one experiences through the Master during the 21 days, it can get embedded deeply into the muscle memory. Then the whole body can radiate that enlightened consciousness.
Through Nithya Yoga, the grace of the body language that comes with enlightenment can be attained.
The pranayama (breath control techniques) included in the Nithya Yoga practice cleanse the prana shareera or the pranic body. This allows us to experience the feeling of expansion. It also cleanses the mind and negative emotions and as a wider result, this can help to prevent and, in some cases, even cure chronic disease.
Nithya Yoga proves that through yoga you can sleep less yet have more clarity and alertness. It is said that when you sleep more than 6 hours the muscles will become dull and tamas (heaviness and tiredness) settles over the entire system.
The emphasis during the Inner Awakening is given to intensity and being completely ‘physical’ – even during the meditation components. The Nithya Yoga practice helps one to be completely grounded and physical. It allows one to be able to sit during Inner Awakening for extended hours in the discourses and meditation with less discomfort and more ease.
