The Hon'ble City Civil Court Bangalore, acting through Sri Ashwath Narayan, Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, on 20 Sep 2011, completely restrained release of the Kannada film 'SATYANANDA' by producer Madan Patel - until the Defamation Suit filed by Nithyananda Swamy itself is disposed.
UPDATE as on 18 July 2011 - Through a strong court order on 18 July-2011, the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh ordered the Andhra Pradesh Film Censor Board and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting not to certify the Telugu film AYYARE for exhibition without considering Nithyananda counsel's objections to it. The Telugu film AYYARE has reportedly employed morphed visuals of Nithyananda and dialogues deliberately aimed at portraying him in poor light. A copy of the order will be posted shortly.
A Bangalore devotee of Paramahamsa Nithyananada by name AC Narendran has lodged a complaint on 18 July 2011 before the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, u/s 295A of IPC (hurting of religious sentiments) against TV9 and Suvarna News 24x7 and other media and press which have deliberately distorted telecasting of the Guru Poornima celebrations and Kundalini awakening sessions at the Nithyananda Dhyananpeetam ashram in Bidadi, Bengaluru.
