Press Meet: NITHYANANDA EXPOSES WOMAN ACCUSER
Paramahamsa Nithyananda opened the press meet by thanking the media for being present, and requesting them to present to respect the judiciary, and not report anything which is false or sub-judice. Paramahamsa Nithyananda stated at the outset that he would speak about nothing that has not been already shared in the open court.
Referring to the interview of a woman accusing Nithyaa ada of sexual abuse, which was aired by Kannada channel Suvarna on 2nd June, Paramahamsa Nithyananda thanked the other socially responsible media who had not carried the interview. “I wouldn’t have opened this to the media, but because she has come, I need my right to life & dignity, I need to give a self-explanation.”
Reporting that so far 3,60,000 rape complaints had been filed in Indian courts, but this was the first case in which there was no victim’s name in the FIR, nor was a victim names till eight months later when the chargesheet was filed. He pointed out that a highly educated woman like her need not have taken 7 years to come out in the open. She is coming out now at an opportune moment, since he had now been coronated as the 293rd pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam.
He explained that he is forced to go to court to defend himself. She is under legal protection, so I can only speak in court. Since she has come to the media, I am forced to come to the media,’ he said.
Woman is carrier of incurable STD: Nithyananda explained that the woman was the carrier of a highly contagious and incurable sexually transmissible disease called Herpes 2, even more dangerous that AIDS, which can be transmitted through the merest physical contact, including through saliva. In fact, the woman had approached the ashram in 2004 for the healing of the disease, but since she has been afflicted as a result of her own bad karma, she could not be healed. Paramahamsa Nithyananda said that his own medical records showing that he was free of the disease had already been submitted to the Karnataka CID. He enquired why the Karnataka CID had not subjected the woman to blood tests and presented her medical records in the court. He revealed that would be applying to the Karnataka High Court tomorrow to trace the woman and subject her to medical tests.
Responding to a question from the media as to why she was allowed into the ashram if it was known that she was carrying a contagious disease, Paramahamsa Nithyananda responded that every day people with many diseases, including HIV and Herpes 2, come for healing, but nobody is refused healing, all are accepted and given healing to reduce their suffering.
Nithyananda demands CBI investigation: Listing the criminal record of the woman, Nithyananda revealed that she is currently facing final summons in a Karnataka Court and second summons by a Varanasi court. She is also wanted by the Tamil Nadu CB-CID who have alerted the Interpol to nab her. The woman is also facing serious charges of child sexual abuse in the USA.
Moreover, that the woman had filed the same case with the American police, but they had investigated and closed the case as false and baseless. “Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam now is going to file a case of malicious prosecution on her for reopening the case giving false charges,’ stated Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
He demanded to know why a woman who had been evading five court summons, CID investigation & the USA police would suddenly send a taped interview to a TV channel instead. He demanded a CBI investigation into the case, so that the truth comes out.
Suvarna TV is already under a court injunction not to relay anything defamatory against Nithyananda, and the relaying of the interview, especially when it was still sub-judice, directly amounted to contempt of court.
The 292nd pontiff who was also present at the press meet recalled the illustrious history of Madurai Aadheenam and its lineage of enlightened master. The 292nd pontiff stated that he was searching for the past few years to find an educated and able successor like Nithyananda.
Yellow journalist attempts to serve summons illegally: In the middle of the press meet, a journalist named Ajit from the Kannada channel Suvarna created a tizzy by attempting to drop a package which he claimed to be a summons, to Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He was sent out of the meet by Nithyananda supporters who pointed out that a summons can be served only by a legal representative, and not by a media person. Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam authorities demanded to know how he had received a copy of the summons before it had reached Paramahamsa Nithyananda himself, for which he had no answer. It was later discovered that a group of 20 persons with an agenda to disrupt the press meet had trespassed into the campus by showing their media cards, and carried out this deliberate illegal attempt.
Women devotees to file cases against Ajit:The same person also manhandled the upset women devotees of Nithyananda and called them prostitutes. Outraged by this, four women are filing complaints of molestation against the person.
