Nithyananda Peetham
Bengaluru Aadheenam
In just 2 days after setting the Guiness World Record® for the Largest rope yoga lesson, His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda today set yet another record, this time for the Most people performing mallakhamba yoga (commonly known as pole yoga). In an extraordinary display of powers of yogic body and initiation by the Avatar to awaken the kundalini shakti or inner potential energy of every individual, 263 initiated disciples of HH Paramahamsa Nithyananda from 44 countries aged from 16 to 74, including men and women, successfully completed the mallakhamba class at the Nithyananda Peetham, Bengaluru Aadheenam.

True to his integrity to reviving all dimensions of Sanatana Hindu Dharma back to their original glory, HH Paramahamsa Nithyananda has taken this ancient traditional yogic science of mallakhambha to the whole world, beyond the boundaries of gender, age, culture, nationality, socio-economic backgrounds, or even physical abilities.

Shivasthamba Yoga℠, also known as Mallakhamba, or pole yoga is a traditional Indian sport in which Yogi performs Yogic postures on a vertical wooden pole. Shivasthamba Yoga℠ has its roots in the ancient science revealed in the sacred Shaiva Agamas. Shivasthamba Yoga℠ is a powerful tool to add power and flexibility into the system.

Ordinarily, being adept at Shivasthamba Yoga℠, an exercise that awakens Kundalini Shakti, the innate energy current that lays dormant in every human spine, requires intense dedication, hard work and years of practice. Yet, the disciples of Paramahamsa Nithyananda, just through the power of his initiation and blessings, express powers that include the ability to instantly perform asanas, or postures, on the pole. Through Shivastambha Yoga, the awakened Kundalini energy is never lost, and the body remains completely healthy and fit.
The landmark event was adjudicated by a slew of “stewards” including Sri Uday Deshpande, the world renowned master of Mallakhamba yoga, and witnessed by thousands including the naga sadhus of Panchayati Akhada, Niranjani.

Swapnil Dangarikar, the official adjudicator from Guinness World Records®, honored His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda as "officially amazing" with the record for the lMost people performing mallakhamba yoga (commonly known as pole yoga) on behalf of Guinness World Records®.

His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda in his acceptance address, expressed his gratitude to Guinness World Records for their support in bringing legitimacy to the various dimensions and powers and arts of Hinduism, and reaffirmed his commitment to reviving the ancient sciences and arts of Hinduism for practical usage by modern human beings.
