WHO IS TARGETING PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA? - Press release from Nithyananda ashram

This is to clarify about the baseless allegations being made by the television channel Samaya on 13^th & 14^th January against HH Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his followers and organization, alleging that they stopped and instigated the hotel in which they are residing for the meditation program to stop Kannadigas from entering into the hotel and allegedly ’insulting Kannadigas’. We would like to clarify that no such incident has happened and the allegation is baseless and motivated.

Pained by these false and malicious accusations, Paramahamsa Nithyananda has responded with a statement, saying, ‘I wanted to make it very clear to the people of Karnataka – I love Karnataka and I love people of Karnataka. Neither me nor my representatives made any of these kind of statements. We don’t have any barriers based on religion, language, nothing. We’re open to all human beings. We’re open to everyone.’

The General Manager of Hotel Sarovar, Sri Brijesh Gupta, also expressed his shock at this false accusation by the channel, saying, ‘It is very disheartening to know the statement which is made by the said channel. Swamiji and his message are all-inclusive and welcoming and uniting everyone. I don’t know how the channel is showing this, but if they are showing this, it is a very wrong allegation to Swamiji. And if they want to come (to the hotel) and see whether anyone is stopping them, they can see! They can come and check if they have any doubt about it.’

The administrator of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram in Bidadi, Sri Sairam Muthuswamy, has also presented a letter to the Hon’ble CM of Karnataka, clarifying the facts and appealing to the Hon’ble CM to take the necessary action to stop the harassment.

This is a blatant violation of the law and is being instigated by vested interests led by one Mr. Ranganath Bharadwaj, against whom several cases have been filed by Nithyananda ashram and followers, for breach of peace and defamation. It is learnt from reliable sources that Mr. Ranganath Bharadwaj is the blood relative or personal family friend of Mr. Vinay Bharadwaj, who is in jail in USA after being sentenced to 4.75 years imprisonment for multiple counts of sexual assault on a minor girl. It is to be noted that Mr. Ranganath Bharadwaj had also tried to bring this Vinay Bharadwaj on the Suvarna TV channel that he was a reporter of formerly, alleging that Nithyananda ashram is responsible for instigating Vinay Bharadwaj’s incarceration. This is when the truth is that USA police and Court did their investigation and found him guilty of serious offences of sexual assault and after Mr Vinay Bharadwaj went on multiple appeals, the final appeal outcome being that the USA Court has turned down all appeals and even ordered him to pay all the lawyer fees.

It is also to be noted that the panel that was brought on the TV channel for discussion comprised of a group of such vested interests and criminal elements, including the likes of Karnataka Nava Nirman sene’s Bhima Shankar Patil, Madan Patel, etc.

Mr Bhima Shankar Patil himself is not only accused in a number of cases, but was beaten up black and blue a few months back in Bijapur for defrauding and cheating people promising them homes. He was also being chased by the police and arrested for his illegal and rowdy activities.

Mr. Madan Patel in the same way was expelled from the BSR party during the recent elections for selling the party tickets for money. After making a defamatory movie on Paramahamsa Nithyananda and when faced with a stay by the Courts in Karnataka on the same, Mr. Madan Patel tried to blackmail the ashram authorities and devotees of Paramahamsa Nithyananda demanding a sum of Rs. 6 crores from them, which illegal extortion demand was denied by the ashram authorities. Such is the character and vested interest of the panelists on the said TV channel whose only aim is to gain TRP, and to spread false rumors and allegations in an attempt to incite public anger and violence against Paramahamsa Nithyananda in yet another attempt to blackmail and extort money from them.

Nithyananda ashram and Paramahamsa Nithyananda have always and will continue to love the people of Karnataka. They are grateful to the soil and salt of Karnataka and highly respect the holy land of Karnataka that has been hosting spirituality and enlightened Masters since thousands of years. The ashram has always been and will always be open to people of not only Karnataka, but also the whole of India and the world, as the very purpose for its existence is to serve the people and provide them with spiritual solutions for a happy and successful life. The ashram has no barriers of religion, language or anything. So the ashram welcomes all the people of Karnataka and the rest of India, except mischief-mongers like Mr. Ranganath Bharadwaj and his associates.
