TRANSLATION
Having performed the Padmasana (explained below) without locking the hands from the back, one should lie down on his back. Matsyasana, the destroyer of diseases is formed by holding the head with the elbows.
TECHNIQUE
- Place the right foot on the left thigh
- Now place the left foot on the right thigh
- Now lie down on your back
- Cling on to your head with your elbows
- Stay in this position 30 seconds

TRANSLATION
The breath has to be filled in the abdomen by drawing air through the tongue. After having retained the breath for a moment, the exhalation should be done through the nostrils.
TECHNIQUE
- Close the eyes
- Protrude your tongue as much as possible
- Roll the sides of the tongue like a tube
- Now inhale through the tube formed by the tongue
- After inhaling, close your mouth
- For a moment hold the breath (do not hold for a long time)
- Exhale through both the nostrils
- Do this for 21 minutes
- Relax

TRANSLATION
The breath needs to be sucked in through the mouth with a hissing sound and the exhalation to be done through the nostrils. By practicing this Kamadeva – the Cupid becomes the second.
TECHNIQUE
- Continue to sit in the same posture and close your eyes
- Press the lower teeth with the upper teeth and open the lips comfortably
- Suck air through the gaps in between the teeth .
- Be aware of the sound produced
- After inhaling close the mouth and exhale through the nose
- Do this 21 times

TRANSLATION
One should rapidly inhale and exhale similar to the bellows of a blacksmith till he becomes fatigued. Followed by this he should inhale through the right nostril and then having held the breath with the Jalandhara Bandha, he should exhale through the left nostril. This is Bhastrika Kumbhaka that increases bodily heat.
TECHNIQUE
- Rapidly inhale and exhale like the bellows of the black smith until you become fatigued
- Then inhale through the right nostril
- Press the chin on the chest so that the throat is locked
- Hold the breath as long as you can judiciously
- Relax the chin and exhale through left nostril
- Do this 21 times
