TRANSLATION-cum-TECHNIQUE

  1. Sit with legs stretched
  2. Place both feet together holding the soles close to one another
  3. Place your arms below the legs
  4. Raise both the legs upwards
  5. Bring the feet over your face
  6. Interlock the fingers
  7. Keep the palms upon the forehead
  8. Keep your gaze on the tip of your nose
  9. Be in this posture for 30 seconds

TECHNIQUE

  1. Close your eyes. Unclutch
  2. Inhale and hold the breath inside
  3. Be in the unclutched state
  4. Exhale slowly and open your eyes and relax
  5. Breath two or three times normally
  6. Do this 21 times

  1. Exhale slowly and completely
  2. Retain the breath as long as possible outside without any visualization

  1. As you chant the bija mantra “VA” loudly, suck in the air

  1. Swallow the air little by little as if eating rice morsel by morsel
  2. One you are full, immediately contract the throat with Jalandhara Bandha
  3. Place the chin on the chest and lock the throat
  4. Hold the breath in this posture as long as possible, judiciously
  5. Then release the lock, and exhale slowly from the throat
  6. Do this 21 times

  1. Continue to be seated in the same posture
  2. Fix your sight at one point and stare continuously
  3. Do not blink your eyes
  4. Put your awareness on the nose (This creates certain awareness and cleanses parts inside your brain.Naturally your breath intake and exhalation level will come down and the Kumbhaka – holding of the breath will happen.)
  5. When you can’t hold the breath anymore, relax
  6. Do this 21 times
