TRANSLATION
One should with effort place the feet on the thighs, and place the upward-facing palms on the thighs. Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth, press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward, that is slowly pull the prana upward. This asana called as Padmaasana destroys all diseases, filled with power. Though difficult to be obtained by everyone, some intelligent people learn it.
TECHNIQUE
- Place the right foot on the left thigh
- Now place the left foot on the right thigh
- Place the hands between the thighs with the palms facing upwards
- Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth
- Press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward
- Exhale slowly
- Do this 3 times and release the chin on your chest and tongue pressed on the upper teeth

TRANSLATION
One should fill the air slowly into the throat like swalowing a morsel of rice and should retain it for maximum possible time, with firm application of Jalandhara Bandha ( explained below) and then should exhale it from the throat. This is Naga Kumbhaka explained by Shiva. By this practice one is able to win over hunger and thirst.
TECHNIQUE
- Swallow air very slowly and let the air go little by little like eating rice morsel by morsel
- Hold as long as you can
- When you cannot hold anymore, release the lock and exhale slowly from the throat
- Do this for 7 minutes

TRANSLATION
One should inhale rapidly producing the sound of black bee, then hold and then exhale slowly with the sound of black bee. This is called Bhramari Kumbhaka.
TECHNIQUE
- Inhale rapidly with the sound ‘mmm’ of a black bee
- Then hold as long as you can
- Then exhale very slowly with the sound ‘mmm’ of a black bee
- Do this 21 times(you have to take something to eat within 10-15 minutes after doing this kumbhaka)

TRANSLATION
The breath should be inhaled through the left nostril. After retaining the breath, if the exhalation is done through both the nostrils, it is called Kumuda Kumbhaka.
TECHNIQUE
- Inhale through the left nostril
- Hold the breath
- Exhale through both the nostrils
- When you exhale visualize the pain is leaving the body through the breath
- Do this 7 times
