TRANSLATION
One should with effort place the upward facing feet on the thighs, and place the upward-facing palms between the thighs.
Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth, press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward, that is slowly pull the prana upward.
This asana called as Padmaasana destroys all diseases, filled with power. Though difficult to be obtained by everyone, some intelligent people learn it.
TECHNIQUE
- Place the left foot on the right thigh and the right foot on the left thigh
- Place the hands on the thighs with the palms facing upwards
- Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth
Press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward - Exhale slowly
- Do this 3 times and release the chin on your chest and tongue pressed on the upper teeth

Tatvaadau Poorayedvaayum

TRANSLATION
One should inhale at the beginning of a particular tatva’s rise, exhale at the end of that tatva. This is termed as tatva kumbhaka that is of five types.
TECHNIQUE
- Remain in the same posture
- Inhale and hold your breath as long as you can
- While you are holding the breath, visualize your whole skin is getting healed
- Visualize your whole skin is getting cured. This visualization is called as tavta
- When you cannot hold any more, exhale slowly
- Do this 21 times

- Inhale through the right nostril completely till the throat gets filled
- Hold as long as you can judiciously
- Exhale as slowly as you can through the left nostril
- Do this 21 times

- Inhale through both nostrils
- Hold as long as you can, judiciously
- Exhale slowly through the left nostril
- Do this 21 times
- Just sit for a few moments with restful awareness, in an unclutched mood
