TRANSLATION
One should with effort place the upward facing feet on the thighs, and place the upward-facing palms between the thighs.
Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth, press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward, that is slowly pull the prana upward.
This asana called as PADMA ASANA destroys all diseases, filled with power. Though difficult to be obtained by everyone, some intelligent people learn it.
TECHNIQUE
1. Place the left foot under the right thigh
2. Now Place the right foot upon the left thigh
3. Place the hands between the thighs with the palms facing upwards
4. Concentrating on the tip of the nose, keep the tongue pressed on the upper teeth
5. Press the chin on your chest, push the air slowly upward
6. Exhale slowly
7. Do this 3 times and release the chin on your chest and tongue pressed on the upper teeth

TRANSLATION
After filling the navel region with the air that is spread and held all over the body, one should concentrate on fire and this is known as Samana Kumbhaka.
TECHNIQUE
- Inhale completely till the navel is filled
- While inhaling visualize that the prana is spread and held all over the body
- Hold as long as you can judiciously
- While you hold, visualize the fire in your navel burning the whole body, specially the skin disorder
- When you cannot hold any more, exhale slowly
- Do this 21 times

TRANSLATION
The Moon energy is situated in the neck, back, heel and the lower back. Frequent practice of rechakas, and visualizing apana from place to place is called Urdhvaja Kumbhaka. Practising this for two ghatikas (48 minutes) leads to parakaya pravesha siddhi (the ability to enter another body).
TECHNIQUE
- Inhale and hold the breath as long as you can judiciously
- As you exhale, visualise the moon at the base of the spine (Muladhara)
- Repeat 6 more times (one time for each chakra)
- Each time, when you exhale, visualise moon at the next chakra in this sequence; Swadhishtana, Manipuraka, Anahatha, Vishudhi, Ajna and then Sahasrara

TRANSLATION
When the prana vayu moves upwards because of apana, it is called Chaandra Kumbhaka, being in which state one experiences intense awareness and restraint on prana and apana.
TECHNIQUE
- Inhale deeply
- Hold the breath as long as you can judiciously
- At the same time perform Mula Bandha – i.e., The practitioner should press with left heel between the anus and scrotum. And then contract the anus. This mudra aids in anti-aging and is termed as Mulabandha.
- When you cannot hold any more, relax as slowly as you can
- Do this 21 times

A Yogi should retain the breath outside after exhaling slowly. This is called Bahih Kumbhaka.

- Exhale slowly and completely
- Hold the breath outside judiciously as long as possible
- Relax and inhale slowly
